Easter Sunday, April 12: John 20: 1-9 We proclaim the resurrection of Christ when his light illuminates our darkness and we share it with others, witnessing hope and faith that nothing, not even death, can separate us from God’s love. Christ is risen! Alleluia!
April 13: Matthew 28: 8-15
Jesus began and ended his ministry in Galilee, from where he sends his disciples forth with the message of the Resurrection. Lord, you send me to the “Galilees” of my world, where you are often disguised in the poor, the deprived, the oppressed. Let me be a witness to you, an agent of hope and encouragement to all whom I meet.
April 14: John 20: 11-18
Mary turned around and saw Jesus. I ask God to give me the strength I need always to be ready to turn around, to look again, that I may see and recognize Jesus’ presence in my life.
April 15: Luke 24: 13-35
Jesus, in times of disillusionment you stand at the door, waiting for me to invite you in. May the experience of your risen presence bring about a transformation in my daily engagement with others.
April 16: Luke 24: 35-48
Help me, Lord, to receive the power of your Holy Spirit so that I may witness to your loving presence with us.
April 17: John 21: 1-14
Peter is lost and struggling, but is open to hearing Jesus’ call. May I, too, be open to hearing the God of good surprises.
April 18: Mark 16: 9-15
Jesus invites us to a fullness of faith. He sees and understands our stubbornness and reluctance, yet trusts us. Calmly and gently he sends us to the whole world.
